4 years later...

I was pretty excited last night when I went to go pick up my newly framed bachelor's degree!

I had been out shopping with a co-worker on March 4th and we saw that Michael's was having a 60% off custom framing sale, the sale ended on the 5th and I told myself that I just needed to get it taken care of.

My bachelor's degree wasn't actually in my possession until June 2010. After graduation, I left it at my mom's house; We weren't actually sure we knew where it was for about 2 years. Once we found it, I wanted to wait to move it from Virginia to Colorado until it could drive out or until I framed it at home and shipped it framed.. I was really worried about it getting bent or creased.

The staff I worked with at Michael's did a great job of making sure we were laying everything out in a way that I wanted. We spent a bunch of time making sure that I was getting just what I wanted. I never thought picking my mats and my background paper would be much work, but it probably took me at least 20 minutes to decide on them; picking a frame took about that much time too! The photo below is while we were working on layout, I like getting photos during the process. :)

The Incredible Edible Egg!

Apparently there is research to back my "if you've been drinking you should eat breakfast before you go to bed" theory.

Singing and Dancing

Lately (by which I mean the last 1.5 years or so), I have found myself to be much more spiritual than religious. I still believe similar things to what members of the Christian church believe but there are some areas that I struggle with.

Most interestingly on my spiritual journey has been the use of oracle cards. This amazing women I knew in Denver lead a group called Women & Wisdom, where we got together monthly and talked about our spiritual journeys. And sometimes we'd do dinner with a few women and we'd pull out the oracle cards to ask the angels for guidance on things in our lives.

About 2 months ago I bought myself my own set of cards, to by honest, I've only used them about 5 times (that's probably even a lie, and really closer to 3 times).

Last month, I asked a question and when I pulled a card it said: singing and dancing. I decided it didn't make sense to my question and put my cards away.

Last night, and this get's a bit more tricky:
asked a question. shuffled 7 times. pulled card: singing and dancing
asked a new question. shuffled 7 times. pulled card: singing and dancing
asked another new question. shuffled 7 times. pulled card: singing and dancing.

All the questions were similar in nature and one was the same question from a month ago.

Dear Universe,
Message received. Sorry I didn't listen the first time.
Love, Suz
